Swiss {ai} Weeks Zurich Hackathon 2025 is taking place at Kraftwerk (Selnaustrasse 25, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland). Please find some more info on this page below!
🗺️ Zürich HB to Kraftwerk
Kraftwerk is just a short hop from Zürich Main Station (Zurich HB). From the station, take the Bahnhofquai/Europaallee exit and follow the river (Sihl). Walking takes about 10–15 minutes.
The address is Selnaustrasse 25, inside a former power plant.
You’ll spot clear signs once you’re close.
The easiest way is to jump on a tram — lines 8, 9, or 14 will get you there in under 10 minutes. For directions, check Google Maps or the SBB Mobile App, which is handy for public transport and walking routes. Tickets for trams and buses can be bought in the app or at SBB ticket machines inside the station. Our doors open at 8 AM on Friday - see you then!
🚕 Taxi / Uber / Drop-off
You can be dropped off right in front of Kraftwerk.
If you’re choosing a ride, Uber is better than local taxis - taxis in Switzerland are very expensive, while Uber is usually easier on the wallet.
That said, the tram or walking from HB will likely get you there just as fast.
🚘 Car / Parking at Kraftwerk
There’s no parking directly at the venue. The closest options are Parkhaus Gessnerallee and Parkhaus Urania, both just a few minutes’ walk away.
Getting around
The public transport infrastructure in Switzerland is recognized as one of the best-connected in the world. Zürich (Kloten) Airport has an excellent connection to the city by tram, bus, or train. The Zürich public transport system is divided into zones, where the city itself is covered by zone 110. You can easily buy tickets at the ticket machines at almost any stop, just make sure that you have enough coins or a credit card, as paper notes are not accepted at the machines. Useful apps to download before arriving: SBB Web (timetable) and SBB App (tickets & timetable).
